How to lose weight after pregnancy

1. Drink enough water. In order to lose some weight, you should consume 10-12 glasses of water a day. You can replace beverages that contain high sugar with some water. It will be useful to add a fresh lemon into your drink.
2. Prepare healthy snacks. It is important to have healthy snacks. It is always good to have vegetable and fruits as well as popcorn, raisins, wheat crackers, and nuts. Try to avoid buying junk food or store-bought baked goods.
3. Eat lean meats. The meats like a boneless chicken and the leanest cuts of beef will work well for your body and help in weight loss process.
4. Eat food that contains low-fats. Not all foods that are labeled as nonfat really are. You should be careful and read what it consists of carefully.
5. Avoid fast food. Although it might be hard, you should avoid fast food products. But if you cannot resist, then better order some salads.
6. Start light exercise. Once you feel like ready to do some exercises, do not delay. You can simply start from walking with your baby. You should increase time spent on walking gradually, so that it is not stressful for you. For instance, you can several days spend on walking 10 minutes, after 20, after 30, etc.
7. Use every possibility to move. During our life we miss pretty many chances to move. But while you are trying to lose some weight, it is better to use every possibility you can. For instance, you can park your car farther, use stairs instead of elevators, etc.
8. Try to keep breastfeeding as long as you can. Breastfeeding requires pretty much energy. If you do breastfeeding you can burn up to 500 calories a day, which is equal to intensive walk during one hour.
9. Joying a gym. Many mothers cannot find time for doing special exercises and especially going to a gym. It is very good if you have a friend who also has a baby, because you can simply change each other the way so that one is on the training, and another is watching the kids and vice a verse.
You should remember that it took you 9 months to gain extra pound, so be patient and give yourself enough time to burn them all.
